Had Baldwin knew the gun was loaded with live rounds, he would be charged with murder. The armorer and the person handing him the prop are charged too.

* Baldwin already " settled" with the dead woman's family. l guess if you making a Western in NM, it becomes your job to ask the staff " is there live rounds in this here pistol?" before drawing your weapon.
* This l know : You don't sue poor people.

Who doesn't check a gun before pulling the trigger?  Baldwin knows that guns are dangerous!

When I was ten years old, having no training or lectures on guns, my friends father who was in law enforcement gave us a 38 special revolver to play with.  I opened that gun and checked it every time before I pointed it anybody and pulled the trigger...and yes I even pointed it at myself and pulled the trigger but NOT before checking to make sure it was empty!

If even a ten-year-old with no safety lectures knows that revolvers are dangerous then certainly Baldwin should have known and he even should have known that the gun handlers on the set can make mistakes and therefore he should have checked it himself to verify that it was the way that they described it to him when they handed it to him.

If you work with guns in any way you should have some sort of basic knowledge in gun safety.

Baldwin knew it could be dangerous but never checked it!
