Total Panic

As many members here already know, I have 4 combinations for FL Lotto that I've played religiously since 1994.  Through rain, wind, hail and major hurricanes, I've never missed a drawing.

This week my mind is somewhere on Neptune, and today I kept thinking it was Sunday all day. (ever happen to you on a holiday?)  After I checked my raffle ticket this afternoon, I reminded myself that it was a Lotto night and put my plastic sleeve with my cards and a $5 bill in my pocketbook.  I then got completely sidetracked by something and guess what? I just signed on and it hit me.  Tonight is Wednesday!  I shrieked "OMG! It's after midnight and I didn't play my numbers."

Scared

My heart began to pound.  What are the odds?  I mean, if the odds are 1 in 23 million to win, then the Universe would be playing a cruel, cruel joke if my numbers hit this one night, even 4 or 5 of them.

Fortunately, the 6/53 Lotto is just as difficult as ever to win, and it rolled to a cool $10 million.  Well, I'm looking on the bright side.  I am way over budget this week since I bought that raffle ticket on Sunday.  So I just cut my losses by $4 bucks!

Thumbs Up

However, I think I'll play my numbers one day in advance from now on...just in case.  Phew!

I know the feeling- I've left my cards at home by accident and then said " what the heck, I'll get QP's " and the QP's are paying me more now than my own numbers...

BTW- I got a dud on my FL raffle tix... How'd you do ?

I cringe looking at results when that happens, thank goodness. I am going to buy one ticket on the raffle for MD. tonight, the drawing is Sat. Gotta be in it to win it.

Good luck Jarasan.
DD, I answered on the board. I had 1486641 and won nothing, nada, zip, zero, bubkas, zilch. Timing is everything.

DD, I want to add - I wish I could forget about my personal numbers, but I am too nervous about changing them so I'll be chasing them until I leave Florida or die, whichever comes first (hopefully the former.) I still might play them if I move by purchasing a season ticket. It would be a lot of money to spend at once, however. (4 combinations x 52 plays = $208) Still, I buy QPs once in a while. Sunday when I bought my Raffle ticket I had actually gone up to the counter to buy 2 Lotto QPs for Wed. I was stuck in a very bad storm and pulled into a Mobil station in a place called Tamarac. I guess if must be near Fort Lauderdale. I couldn't even see the front of my car it was raining so hard. Anyway, I figured that maybe a new area might be luckier. I'm sure other people on LP have had that same crazy notion. Well, I was really lucky anyway. I made it home safely.
