Taxing the rich shouldn't be such a taboo

Robert Reich is a professional agitator, not a reasonable voice on tax policy. I would not recommend taking advice from that guy, or similarly from a professional agitator on the right.

But is he incorrect pertaining to the concept? To me, I don't particularly care what the source is necessarily, but rather the content.

Just like churches not paying billions in taxes every year, between the two, we could greatly improve human suffering to a degree, not curing the problem, but helping the less fortunate to at least have a fighting chance.

It amazes me Todd, you lean towards Christianity, yet you seem to be against what Jesus would do in a world that is demonstrably in a much worse state now, compared to his time.

Trickle down hasn't worked since the Reagan administration to this day. In fact it has done the opposite. What are corporations doing with their 1.9 trillion in tax cuts? Definitely not trickling down. They buying back their stocks to appease their stock holders, while raking in the big bucks from their profit margins, and, simutaneously falsely blaming high prices of their goods on inflation as an excuse. I guess it's the old "take advantage of a crisis model, and run with it as much as you can" mentality.

The pandemic is over, and although there was an issue early on with supply issues, today, there is no excuse why a box of cereal shoul cost 7 or 8 bucks, and then turn around and blame Biden on it.

On one hand we have Republicans claiming Biden is an inept old fart who doesn't know where his nose is, yet in the same breath, they believe he has the ability and absolute power to create a global inflation. Which one is it?

You pay taxes, and so do I, infact I just did my taxes on April 14th through H&R block, and my refund is a little over $2,100. Why can't the top 2% pay taxes? Obviously the trickle down excuse hasn't worked, so what's the reason now?
