Wow.  I remember my first time on the Autobahn.  I was a passenger and I thought the guy driving had stopped at the end of the on ramp because a BMW flew by in the left lane.  I looked over at the speedometer and we were doing 60 MPH.  The BMW must have been doing 130.

It was a weird and disorienting feeling because it literally  felt like we were parked at the end of the on ramp for a second or two.
