He should have reported it to the police that way when the guy got out without any bail he could beat the guy with the bat all he wanted and if the police complained he could have sued them for releasing the guy without bail.

Next time lets hope he has a spring loaded bat that has spikes that pop out and he could shove it up the perps butt hit a button for the spikes to pop out and then he could twist it while he was pulling it out.
