Say What You Mean
Published:
Say what you mean and mean what you say. It allows you to be true to yourself, and you'll be less likely to feel guilty.

On a more serious note, I've said "I love you" to a sick relative when I didn't really feel it because I know it makes old and dying people feel at peace. Q) "Do you forgive me?" A) You were a terrible father/sister/brother and I'll always hate you" might not be appropriate just before undergoing major surgery. So sometimes what I feel at a certain moment isn't really as important as what comes out of my mouth, because a lie can make someone else very, very happy. In fact, if I didn't say it before it was too late, I would be likely to feel guilty. I can always deal with my personal feelings later.
Simon Cowell (American Idol) is the right way.
When I was about 8 years old, my father insisted that I audition for the Broadway play "Pippins". I felt very uneasy and unprepared. Sure enough, when we finally got there waiting on a long line of child wanna be's, It was finally my turn, and he asked me to recite some tongue twister about some ducks in a lake or something. I looked at him like he had 3 heads. That's when he said, don't call us, we'll call you.....lol
I remember that like yesterday. The 70s version of Simon......lol
You've had all these years to hone your skills...You Tube awaits you!
BTW, recite this before appearing on You Tube....
"sixth sick sheik's sixth sheep's sick"
LOL
