How old is too old?
Published:
It looks like we'll have a 79 year old running against an 81 year old for President next year and they are much younger than some of the Senators and House Reps. The average age for Senators is 64 led by 90-year old Grassley and Feinstein though Feinstein is not seeking reelection in 2024 and Grassley was reelected in 2022 to his seventh six year term. The only term limits are the two terms the 22nd Amendment allows for the president.
The House has currently has 15 octogenarians. Mitt Romney, at the "young" age of 76 announce today he is not seeking reelection. Maybe he might get the retire before 80 ball rolling.

* Meaning, why would Biden take a bribe, knowing full well that it would be a career ending decision, plus Joe conducted business in the open, had he lined his pockets, it would have come out years ago. There are those who truly ought to leave right now, amongst them is Feinstein, Grassley & Mitch.
* Romney is a multi millionaire, he doesn't need the headache of seeing Trump as the party standard bearer, he probably wants out to avoid the mess that is to come.
Of course there are guys that get old at a much earlier age but hey stick out and are noticed more than the ones who look like they should be old.
Though there are age requirements to hold some offices, it would be very difficult to put age limits on forced retirement. Some are talking about term limits, but again it depends on which state is being represented because in some it's almost a lifetime job.
Maybe could set mandatory retirement to when their great grandchildren go to college.
Yep, it's a cult with being poorly educated as the prime membership requirement. You tube has hours of interviews with hard core MAGA Kool-Aid drinkers and though they are very funny and entertaining, but then comes the realization; how could that many people be that stupid.
