Gag order v First Amendment

That topic is being discussed on far right, far left, and everything in between news talk and pod casts.

Served as a juror and when the judge broke for lunch, he told us not to discuss testimony with anyone including other jurors. He didn't give an "or else", but based on the major and most news worthy current trials, doesn't seem to be a "or else" for high profile trials.

Wasn't really much for me to discuss because I only heard the prosecution side of a DUI case. It was obvious the rule of law applied to me as a juror or judge would not have said it and questioning if it violated my Right to free speech was out of the question and not worth the drama.

And speaking of drama the defendant in a Civil Trial where guilt was already determined, the Judge is now hearing evidence to decide how big of a fine and the drama queen is going overboard trashing the judge, prosecutor, and court. HIs lawyers are claiming it's his right under free speech. IMO I wouldn't trash the judge that will rule on how much I must pay in damages but that seems to be the strategy in the Manhattan courtroom. Maybe he's hoping for a mistrial by convincing an appeals court he forced the judge to rule against him because of his trash talking.

* One can't shout " Fire" in a theater & think you can get away with it. Just as " bringing a firearm  to school" does not go unpunished. There are guardrails that must be put in place to protect the public.

When mob bosses went on trial they didn't publicly threatened witnesses or say it's legal under free speech because they are running for a public office. It's all about trying to be above the law because he has a huge cult following.

He needs to be locked up already...wtf? Why are all the judges so scared of the orange nightmare? If he doesn't get locked up after all of this settles down, the DOJ, and the rest of our country will fail as a just society.

If the NY court does nothing after his Thanksgiving message, don't look for them to ever do anything. It's starting to look like he really has a serious mental problem and his rants will eventually cost him lots of votes.

* l read something that makes a lot of sense: if you put 45 in jail,  where do the Secret Service take up residence? Besides, the courts have been very lenient with him, but they also want to make it clear to him that he is not in charge of anything, although he would like to think he does.Notice he attacks every judge or prosecutor & even the Doj  out there- but stays away from critizing Judge Cannon.

* The Maga folk are in denial, how so? Well if our Grandparents are showing signs of Dementia or losing their ability to make sense & going off by ranting about or that, we would admit something has to be done to aid them- BUT not Trump. Their leader, in their collective minds excuse is " it's the way he is." Well guess what, that's not acceptable in this day and age around normal people. If  children acted out, parents would be forced to take measures, especially if it's disruptive behavior that affects others.

* Both Joe & Trump have gaffs, but only one acts Presidential. The guy is so into himself, especially when he openly grifts, like his " cards & coins" that can be purchased for a price. Even his mugshot put on a T-shirt  was sold for a price. How can Trump call himself the Greatest President the United States has ever had.. l mean he lost the Presidency, the Senate & Congress in his 1st term. How is that making America GREAT when you own that resume? Anyone know?

The real problem is the precedent these courts are setting by doing nothing after issuing gag orders and he ignores them by publicly threatening and slandering the judge, the court, and the Attorney General. What if thousands of defendants in any type of court case do the same as Trump and claim it's their Right under the First Amendment to act like an idiot too?

If these judges don't start doing the job they swore to do, they should resign.
