Personal Thoughts From My Island!

I just dont get it !!!

I read in the paper where "potcakes" are getting shot in the head etc, let me explain what I dont get it, when they are "puppies" they are so cute n cuddle and fat, but when they start to grow they are not so cute n fat anymore and then neglected.

We have services over here that will spade the females for FREE, yes free to prevent unwanted puppies, instead of harming them why not try and find out how they got there in the 1st place probally through the neglect of one person, it all starts somewhere, it bothers me it really does!!!

If there are stray potcakes in your area instead of shooting them or trying to knock them down call The Bahamas Humane Society etc

p.s congrads to those who love and take care of there animals.

I'm with you on that. Be kind to animals, breed or no breed. They are part of our world. I have a cat and 2 dogs. They give me joy everyday.

I like animals. I have 2 cats. I've had dogs as well. They are our friends and companions.

I agree. I used to have more energy and go into so-called pet stores where animals are inventoried after arriving from the puppy mills. I would ask for the manager if any of them looked sick or were sleeping in dirty cages. Birds are especially mishandled. Parakeets make wonderful pets, yet they're packed dozens to a cage on top of each other and many of them pluck out their own feathers from the stress. I never stole an animal from a store (thought about it but never did it) but I have rescued dogs who were chained to trees. Why someone gets a pet and ties him up 24/7 in the hot sun, the rain and the cold is beyond my comprehension.

Thank you for posting.

Chippie -   If you've never visited bestfriends.org (or bestfriends.com), you might like whaty you find there. They are involved in animal welfare all over the world but based in Angel Canyon.   It's a big web site, so be prepared to spend some time. The first time I went there, I think I spent an hour or 2.     Jake
