I would not trust an EV vehicle in a life and death situation.

I have a friend with a Tesla, so far this winter it has been trouble free, it is garage kept at night, temps here are for the first time falling below 10 F. A neighbor has one they just purchased it hasn't moved in two days outside covered in snow.

Glo plugs and heating blankets for the diesels and regular gas vehicles seem to be ok so far.

My Chevy started right up.
