NARRATIVE REASON FOR SEPERATION".  Should you have left, after your term of commitment that you signed up for (since the draft was ended) it will state, as mine does, "Expiration term of service".
#23 is the "TYPE OF SEPERATION" ...#24 is the " CHARACTER OF SERVICE"...#25 is "SEPERATION AUTHORITY"..#26 is "SEPERATION CODE"..#27 is "REENLISTMENT CODE'...#29 is "DATES OF TIME LOST DURING THIS PERIOD...and finally #30 is " MEMBER REQUESTS COPY 4".   Could some verbiages/numbers have changed ??  Yes, most likely to justify some 0-6/0-7/0-8's existence........and BTW, when the DD-214 got issued during my service, there was a long form and a short form. The long form contained," Special Additional Information (For use by authorized agencies only) which contained #'s 23 - 30.....The short form of the DD-214 did not list the above...Hope this helps for future references.
