It's a very hard thing to do. I once owned a "new age" book about inner healing & growth & one of the daily affirmations included standing in front of the mirror and telling myself I was wonderful (not exactly in those words) but I began to giggle. One reason is as soon as I stared into the mirror in the morning without my makeup, I began to notice new age spots. LOL
