We Are Having A Heatwave!

Published:

We have had some  very hot weather. With temperatures in the 90's. A person could get a heatstroke if they are not careful. I see women walking their babies in strollers in the heat. What are they thinking?!

Joggers jogging in the heat, with the sweat pouring off of them. That is dangerous to their health as well.  As well people leaving pets in cars or outside in the heat. Animals suffer just like people.

What are these people thinking, that leave their pets in weather conditions such as that..  Mail For You

The joggers are okay as long as they stay well hydrated. Perspiring is a good way to release toxins from the body. The babies are also safe is the parents keep them shaded so the sun doesn't beat right down on them. Living in Florida, 90 degree weather isn't very unusual, although it rarely gets past the 100 degree mark here.   The animals left in cars or tied up outside - now that's cruelty. I don't believe in keeping pets outdoors anyway, but if they have adequate shelter, like a good doghouse with a fresh bowl of water, they can at least get some relief, but hot cars are a whole different story. A car will reach temperatures of 120 and higher in a very short time. I agree. People just don't think, do they?

Living in FL, my dog does not go in the car from May - October; just way too hot. It is also against the law in FL to leave a dog unatteneded in a car during hot weather, but it doesn't seem to stop people. You would think that we wouldn't need a law like that and that common sense would prevail!
