Free Cartridge Refills Today

If you have an empty ink cartridge you might want to head on over to your local Walgreen's because on Wednesday only they are filling inkjet cartridges for free, either black or color.  The woman in back of me came in to fill hers and I gave her the coupon I printed, since I had an extra copy. She thanked me for saving her $15, although I think the clerk would have told her anyway.   Then I noticed there is an ad in their weekly circular.  I just happened to have an empty #21 HP cartridge sitting on my desk and I have an HP Officejet that uses that size.

I've never used this service before.  I always buy my cartridges new from Office Depot or online.  Has anyone ever gotten a cartridge refill?  I know you can't refill Canon ink cartridges because of the patented nozzle (I have a Canon Pixma and you should never try to refill the ink)

Anyway, just thought I would share this with my friends at LP.  You have until midnight.  I think they have a list of the cartridges they accept.  Of course this is only for 1 refill.  If you need more than one, just take a buddy along!

On my HP Inkjet I have had for nearly 10 years, I use to refill the cartridge at least 10 times before I tossed it. Did it myself, I think I still have ink stains on my legs from the spilt ink. Looks like a really bad tattoo

But thanks for the info

I was always afraid that I'd damage the printer so I never tried it.   My HP F380 printer takes a #21 cartridge which isn't very expensive, but the lady standing next to me in line had one that held about 28ml and they accepted it. (hers was color too) Mine are only 5ml. HP says it's new technology, but I really wonder about that!

I have done refilling of some HP ink cartridges before, two of them were the HP 21 and the HP 22, another one was a big black cartridge can't remember it's number, all 3 of them were easy to refill, you do have to make the holes in them.
Now instead I have a laser printer, I think that the HP inkjet's print quality was better, but so far I like the laser printer best.

I hope everything works out for you, Mike. I have a new cartridge in my printer, but I had an empty one on my desk.   As I wrote, I never tried refilling them, but people like Stavros tell me they work just as well as new ones. They don't fill certain brands. Mine will also be ready Saturday. I guess they had this promotion to get new customers.

They also have 1/2 gallon of milk for $1.99 until Sat. I just paid $1.69 for a quart at Publix. I've never been a coupon clipper, but it really pays off sometimes. Then I can buy more lottery tickets. ;-)

usually black cartridge more durable than the color.
i have used HP 3325 with Cartridge type #27 & #28 unfortunately it have counter pages and after refilling 20x or the pages reach 5000 pages, some how the chip on PCB cannot excecute printing command.

i have BJC 2100 and refilled more than 100x and still work find in black except the color because i think when we refilled any printer for color, the quality "not beautiful as original" LOL except we use outside cartridge.
