I made the jump to windows 11 and needless to say : 

what the bleep was I thinking !?

any tips or advice would be appreciated

Fortunately in my case, my laptop failed the upgrade test for Windows 11. I will be using Windows 10 until the opportunity might present itself to get a new one.
