As a child I lived in Detroit, this is what it was like before NAFTA, and after NAFTA

Published:

For the record I was opposed to NAFTA when it happened. Pres Trump is making every effort to bring back jobs to America and undo the destruction his predecessors (including globalist RINOS-Uniparty) brought about.

I grew up in Detroit, once the drugs took hold, it was all downhill.

Thanks Sully. Drugs allowed over the border seems to have been part of someone's plan to tank the country..

I hear a huge sucking sound going south.
Mexico has ended up as one of the biggest exporters to the US.

Thanks JAP. Ross Perot said something similar and he was correct. Too many of our factories have closed and moved there.

The early 70's to mid 90's were the worst for drugs. I grew up on L.I. In NYC the gangs took over, crime of every type soared, and if they had less than 2,000 murders it was a good year. Check out these numbers for how bad it was.

Well, looking at it statistically, those were hard times and was only accentuated by the democrats!

Twenty straight years '73-'93 of dem mayors till Rudy (repub) got elected in '94 and cleaned it up.
Then Bloomberg did 1 term as an R, then switched to Ind for 1 term. Then right back to dem. Now it's 11 years with a dem.

Thanks Maddog. Apologies, did not mean to ignore you. I feel it was accentuated by both parties, Dems and RINOS better known as the uniparty.
