*According to the latest polls, ~90% of Republicans approve of Trump's current performance. Why? What are they seeing that the rest of the world seems to be missing?
I go to a bar that people, mostly fruit farmers, almost exclusively voted for Trump. Things I have heard in the last month:

“I didn’t vote for Musk to fire my daughter, in fact I didn’t vote for Musk at all”

“They are shutting down the Department of Education? I don’t think any of our problems are the result of too much education”

“I don’t want to get on airplanes any more, now that they have fired so many air traffic controllers.”

“Trump wants to invade Canada, Greenland, and the Panama Canal Zone? WFT, Trump didn’t run on that”

“What do you mean that I can’t sell my crop in Canada? They are my best customer and I don’t know how I can replace that for the upcoming harvest.”

“Who is going to take care of my trees and pick my fruit? ICE has scared all of my workers away.”

The idea seems to be seeping into their heads that Trump has screwed them over royally. I am about to go on a 2 month trip and by the time I get back, I expect the murmurs of discontent to have become a roar.

Edit: To those who say they should know better: In this bar, there are 4 TVs and they are all tuned to FOX except when there are sporting events. So they actually don't know better. The source they trust to inform them tells them nothing about what is really going on. I have started seeing people in that bar starting to talk back to the TV.

Another thing - the average education level of the entire area is at a fifth grade reading level, and that includes all of the doctors, dentists, and other business professionals in the 150,000 metro area bringing the education level UP to that level - and those are REPUBLICAN county figures. The people in the bar are below that average and many struggle to read the most basic things. To quote the Waco Kid (aka Gene Wilder) - "You've got to remember that these are just simple farmers. These are people of the land. The common clay of the new West. You know... morons." And they have an actual disdain for education.

So why didn't you just post the link from the piece so we could read it for ourselves?
Is that so difficult?

* Instead of bitching about the Source, do you agree with the piece or not? That after all, is the material point. Unless one is to uneducated to tell the difference.

* Saturday educational piece for the unenlightened...

* China didn’t steal our jobs—Trump, the felon  and his billionaire buddies handed them over to chase bigger profits. They’ve always cared more about their bank accounts than American workers. MAGA was just a smokescreen for selling us out. There you have it!

* Epstein said Trump was his “closest friend for 10 years.” Trump, Epstein claimed, was both “charming” and “a horrible human being.

Jeffrey Epstein described himself as Donald Trump’s “closest friend” and claimed intimate knowledge of his proclivity to cuckold his best friends according to explosive tapes recorded by author Michael Wolff.

When asked about Trump’s intelligence.

“With respect to real estate deals, he’s brilliant. He’s a salesman. He knows real estate really well,” Epstein said. “Anything else but that, he knows nothing. No history, no strategy…he can’t read a spreadsheet, which is funny.”

* Another Golden Oldie about the Dear Leader, which you wont find on Fox or other Maga networks.
