My 8 year old laptop is not able to make the jump to Windows 11...
Oh well, bonus... no more forced updates!

I remember when they stopped Windows 7. I hung onto it for awhile then finally made the the switch to 11. I couldn't believe how much faster it was.

Sadly, I remember when Windows 3.11 (workgroups) gave way to Windows 95... replaced all of the .ini and .cfg files with that bloated registry and replaced the underlying DOS system with the command line window.
Given how long my cheap self likes to hold onto tech, a new laptop may be my last.
