People are just requoting those who felt compelled to comment then compiling those quotes to make them 'internet famous.' Of course it's up to employers to decide whether those who are now 'internet famous' represent their company's values.

True and I don't think most employers would want that kind of publicity. And in Kimmel's case ratings most likely had something to do with it. This gave them the excuse.

Nielsen data showed sharp summer declines and a year-long slide that leaves him trailing late-night rivals such as Fox News’ Greg Gutfeld and CBS star Stephen Colbert.
According to monthly Nielsen figures, “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” dropped to just 1.1 million total viewers in August 2025, down 43% from January’s 1.95 million. His August household rating of 0.35 marked the weakest showing of the year.

The last independent report I observed, J.K. costs for his show was at $60M/yr and the ad revenue during the show was generating $76M/yr. but his viewership was on a major decline over the last 4 years.

People believe what they want to believe. The left in America fervently puts forth that their “freedom of speech” is threatened by President Trump.  No amount of debate will ever dissuade them because liberals derive comfort from that point of view.

The morning network programs exclude almost all conservatives or traditional people.  The View totally blackballs non liberals.  As does Jane Pauley on the CBS Sunday Morning program. 
Conservative commentator Mark Levin has written a series of bestsellers.  Have you seen him on the networks?  Fox News has some very successful commentators.  Any sign of them on The Today Show?  Good Morning America?  60 Minutes?
So, the most powerful media companies in the world have totally shut down “speech” that opposes liberalism.
And that’s fine with many on the left. Nothing to see or hear here.  Business as usual.   Liberal opinion is on display 24/7.
Conservative thoughts?  Sorry, we’re closed.
This exclusion is a colossal violation of free speech.  Dangerous to the nation.  Putin stuff.  However, you will not hear this truth spoken on the network talk programs, which are now loudly bemoaning Mr. Kimmel’s exit.
How about some honesty and fairness for a change, network people?  Not holding my breath.

In addition to that CD, at least Fox News has liberals on their daily talk shows. Juan Williams, Jessica Tarlov, Harold Ford Jr. who was a dem H of R Congressman from Tenn,  and even Donna Brazile, Hillary's former campaign manager for awhile. You will never see a Repub or conservative on the msm news or talk shows on a daily basis because they cannot stand or tolerate someone with an opposing view. And they accuse us of censoring... lol
