The cold continues in Missouri
Published:

The City of St. Louis will remain at its highest cold-weather response level through the end of the week as frigid temperatures continue.
In a press release, the city announced it would extend Code Blue Level 4 through Friday morning. The city activated Code Blue Level 4 last Friday, ahead of the winter storm.
Code Blue Level 4 activates 600 surge beds at area shelters, bringing the total beds to 1,000. It also activates the Winter Weather Unified Command, a coordination group to provide a unified response from the city departments. The city will also have transportation teams out to help take people to warming shelters and warming buses will be at priority sites.
The forecast calls for overnight lows in the single digits for the rest of the week, and highs will be below 20 degrees on Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
Walk-up shelter remains available at the following locations:
- North City:
-
Peter & Paul - Jugan Shelter
(single men, single women, and family rooms)
3225 N. Florissant Ave.
