A brilliant performer and humanitarian. When I think of Charlie Chaplin, it's also a reminder of the days when anyone could be questioned for free thinking and accused of being a communist and how men like Hoover and McCarthy terrorized this country, especially Hollywood because of its liberal views. (Hoover was also a racist) And then I say to myself that it's 2007 and history is coming back to haunt us.
