Grandma made great donuts for us kids/adults decades ago using lard...Thanks for the education K !!

Thanks CDanaT. Yes I grew up with lard as the main cooking fat. It makes some delicious fried chicken. Now sometimes it's available from Hispanic stores selling rendered lard from frying out pork rinds or their proper name for them.
