That's due to all the environmental regs they have there, where they have no oil or gas pipelines connecting to pipelines from other states and therefore they have to their import their oil and gas from foreign countries. Once the stuff in Iran ends gas prices will drop like a rock. One reason is Saudi Arabia got out of OPEC. Which means OPEC will no longer be controlling how much oil they can produce and ship. If they decide to produce as much as they want (more than OPEC is) what happens? A huge supply increase, which means prices drop. Then other countries have to decide, do we pay more for oil from Iran, or should we buy it cheaper from the US?  We sell more oil, the money rolls in for our economy.
Then what does Iran do? What does Europe, China do?  You have learn to look at the 30,000 foot view of things. There's a lot going on the msm doesn't tell you. Trust the plan.
