Yes, I have a Zeus, he vaporizes a bowl of food, treats and melts your heart.
He vaporized a tennis shoe , but that's okay.
He got his checkup yesterday, 104 pounds of love and affection.

That probably could penetrate threats other than missiles. Think of our orbital defense systems.
