Snow & Stuff

Published:

This morning I woke up to find it snowing outside. It is very beautiful. I hope it doesn't snow too much though. I don't want to get stuck.

Also, I do enjoy this forum, but why do certain individuals like to twist others peoples posts to suit their needs? Today I answered someones question about what they would buy if they won a jackpot and someone decided to take my comment waaayyyy out of context and accuse me of not letting others have fun. WTF? I didn't even talk about anyone else. I only talked about what I would buy. LOL I think if a certain someone does that too me again, I may just use the block feature. I have no need for someone to try and purposely start drama where there isn't any.

Yeah I like looking at it also...at least for the first few weeks. Then when the storms come in and leave 3-5 feet of snow it is different story. lol.

I haven't seen snow on the ground in a long, long time. Around the holidays it's strange to wake up to 80 degrees. I wish I could be in a place with snow on Christmas.

Regarding people who are argumentative, that's just the way many boards are, and as long as people don't become obnoxious or call me names, I never block anyone. But it's your right to do so anytime. I've been blocked by a few members here, yet they continue to make comments on my blog or respond to my posts, which I find odd. Anyway, just keep in mind that all of us are just invisible people in cyberspace and nothing a person writes can harm you. I haven't looked at your post yet. I'll do that now. Just smile. :-)

Thanks justxploring. It's true. Nothing anyone writes can harm me. It's just that it seems that since I am a newbie, that it is ok to pick on me or something. But your right. It's just cyberspace and it's not worth getting upset over.

Also your from Florida right? So I wouldn't expect you to see any snow where your at. lol. I bet it would be strange to wake up to snow.

I live in FL now, but I spent most of my life in Massachusetts, Colorado and New Hampshire.

Hey TSC - I don't know where you are exactly, but please send that snow right on over here .... Nothing I like more than the white stuff or rainy days!

I did read the posts in question and I had to read through a couple times - I think rather than picking on your words it was more picking your words to make a point - I honestly don't think it was an attempt to twist a negative on you. Granted, what subject could be more sensitive than the hopes and dreams we hold closest to our heart?   LP covers a lot of ground - from psychics to physics - and I definitely don't agree with all the viewpoints I find here; however, your words and those of 99% of everyone who post here make this an interesting and informative place to be.

Please don't forget to send that snow .....

Thank you Jake, for your post. I'm sure he was just trying to make a point, but I wished he had made the point without picking on my post, because from my point of view it felt like I was being picked on.

I would love to send you some snow. I betting that in a few weeks I'm going to be wishing that some other states would take it. lol.

Hey, I want some snow too. People like snow here in Charlotte, NC. Kids don't have to go to school. People don't have to go to work. People buy up all the milk and bread from the grocery stores. And the streets become quiet. Everything shuts down because we get snow so infrequently that we didn't invest in the equipment to keep the streets plowed.   We really do have our noses pressed to the window pane.

The only bad thing about snow or a freeze here is that it hurts the crops & the groves, and right now the economy has been devasted enough. What we really need is a lot of rain.

Tenaj-The thing is, most days when it snows here it isn't a big deal and school, work etc. continues. Only when there is a huge snow storm, where the kids will be put into danger or if the snow gets really deep will there be no school.

justxploring-Hopefully you will see some rain over where you are at. I read that the south really has been through a horrible drought this year. I do hope it gets better.
