I was reminded why I stopped scratching in the first place. But people are scratching up a storm. There was a small line for the machine. The man in front of me bought $110 worth and the man in front of him bought $220 worth of tickets.

I felt a little self conscious as I was selecting my tickets because by the time it was my turn four people were behind me in line. They can't be judging me because they are scratching too but I still felt like I was being judged because they were looking at me and the man behind me kept tapping his foot. Actually they can still be judging because some people only buy one or two tickets so to see someone buying alot more... 

I budgeted for $60 but didn't see the ones I had wanted in the machine which should have been a sign to not bother. I ended up getting two $2,000,000 fortune, four precious metals and four $1,000,000 cash stacks. Two lucky scratchers won the $1,000,000 jackpot for cash Stacks. Only FOUR million dollar jackpots in the entire state for CASH STACKS and they just happened to be at the right place at the right time. Imagine $5 giving you a million just like that. 

I'm not sure why I got precious metals since all top prizes are gone. It's a pretty ticket. All the top prizes were gone in less than 4 months. Then again you're never really playing for the top prize. You're playing for any claimer. 

I had planned for 60 but would have done 80 if the man wasn't tapping his feet. There is a possibility I walked away from a million dollar winner or contributed 20 dollars more to education. We shall never know. 

I'm sticking to draw games, mainly Fantasy 5. I'll just scratch once in a while if I feel the itch but I'm not gonna be a hard-core scratcher again. It doesn't make sense to me. Plus I don't have the budget to even be hard-core.

The good thing about it though is you don't need to be hard-core to win. I like seeing those stories where someone just popped in to get something and decided to get one or two tickets and they get a jackpot. But obviously that's not the norm. The hard-core scratchers are the ones who get the claimers.

I used to like playing new scratches because it seemed like they front load claimers to get people excited. Within days of new games you see claimers claimed so people are wasting no time trying to win big.
