Brightstar signs eight-year contract to modernise Missouri Lottery systems
Rollout includes new digital features, retailer terminals and enhanced player engagement tools.

Key points:
– Missouri Lottery to deploy Brightstar’s OMNIA system under an eight-year agreement
– Deal includes 9,045 new retailer terminals and a full digital upgrade
– Part of Brightstar’s first major announcement since rebranding from IGT
Brightstar Lottery has secured an eight-year contract with the Missouri Lottery to deploy its fully integrated OMNIA system across retail and digital channels.
The agreement, announced 15 July, includes the rollout of 5,250 Retailer Pro S2 terminals, 2,220 GameTouch 28s, 75 GameTouch 20s, 250 GameTouch Draws and 1,250 Digital Menu Boards.
Brightstar will also aim to enhance the Missouri Lottery’s player experience with new loyalty features, second-chance promotions and Connected Play functionality.
Missouri Lottery Executive Director Lester Elder said: “We are excited to build upon this long-term partnership over the course of the next eight years and deliver new, premier experiences for our players.”
Good to know: Brightstar serves 90 lotteries globally and is the primary technology provider to 26 US jurisdictions
The new deal is Brightstar’s first major announcement since its rebrand from International Game Technology (IGT) in early July. The rebrand followed the sale of IGT’s Gaming and Digital divisions to Apollo-owned Voyager Parent, leaving Brightstar as a standalone lottery technology business.
Scott Gunn, Brightstar’s COO for North America Lottery, commented: “We look forward to delivering these high-performing solutions, while helping the Lottery achieve its goals of maximising funds to education.”
Brightstar has worked with the Missouri Lottery for over 30 years, a relationship that has contributed more than $8.5bn to public education in the state.
Earlier this year, Brightstar was also awarded a lottery supplier licence in the UAE, further expanding its international footprint.
