Wonder how LakerBen feels about Trump changing the name of his state without even asking the citizens. 

For the record New Mexico became the 47th state in `1912 and was named after the New Mexico Territory that was organized by the Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo in `1850. Arizona and New Mexico split into separate territories in 1863 because the New Mexico Territory was too large to govern effectively.

Erasing 176 years of history is nothing new for the egotistical wana-be dictator. 

It's a good thing the price of gas is $3.11 a gallon ($2.89 in February 2026), the federal deficit is approximately $36.1 trillion, and the average price of milk is $4 or the Republicans including the MAGA wing would have a serious problem with the November elections.

*edited to reflect (my bad) the fact those are the figures from January 20, 2025 and the current figures are the average National price of gas is $4.15 a gallon, the average cost of milk is $4.31, and federal deficit is now over $40 trillion. Oh, and the yearly interest on the deficit is around $1.1 trillion to $1.25 trillion.
