The phenomenon of repeat numbers
Published:
What is the phenomenon of repeat numbers? What makes a ball machine all of sudden start sucking up the same numbers for multiple draws? I mean it's nice to spot a trend and I'm definitely gonna play the numbers back but it's rather fascinating how this happens.
Then again I guess it's just the quirks of probability. Every single day every ball has the same chances to be sucked up. So if 5-6 is drawn three draws ago, its exact probability of being drawn in subsequent middays remain completely unchanged.
