I started this new thing were when I select my numbers I don't plug them into the system to see if they played recently. Because in the past if multiple numbers played recently I scrap the whole thing. I did that because in my mind at the time I didn't feel like repeat numbers would happen. I understand the statistics of it now so it made me more comfortable playing repeat numbers. 

That being said, after I purchased my tickets I plugged them in and the universe did me dirty.  All three of them had FOUR numbers that played with in the last few weeks. I get two or three numbers repeating but come on four numbers coming back so fast? Yes yes it's technically statistically possible but had I plugged them in before I bought them they would definitely have been changed.

There is merit to looking at previous draws. It's a delicate balancing act though. I am gonna keep not checking though only because I've seen many examples of two and three numbers repeating.
