I sure could use some way to laugh at all off this. I have made it one of my new year's resolutions that I will laugh more this year. My symptoms are easing up quite a bit. Maybe it's the cold weather, I don't know.

Don't feel strange if you get dizzy or hot, Spy, and you need to sit down. It got to the point that I would get so hot and sweaty that I said to a customer "excuse me while I get through this hot flash." Have you tried natural supplements? They take about a month to work, but Black Cohosh, Red Clover and Soy (if you can take it) usually work. Vitamin Shoppe has a formula called Phytoestrogen Complete.   Cleopatra is an additional formula (all herbs) but that also increases sex drive, which I don't want, since my license expired. :-)

You know there is nothing in the world that can prepare you for hot flashes. When I was in the Army, we "trained" outside in the 107 degree hot sun, full dress (I know, they aren't suppose to do that, but it's the military, they do as they wish.) I don't remember ever feeling as hot as I do during a hot flash. It just takes my breathe away. I feel like such a wimp. You see all of these sweet little old ladies who have already gone through this, and here I am., freaking out over it one and half years in. Well, almost two now. I spoke to a woman the other day who said hers lasted 10 years.
