The Great Dictator

"It [my job] would be easier if I was dictator" - G.W. Bush

He smirked when he said it, so we all thought it was a joke. Not so. He and his cohorts have given the Executive Branch of government unheard of power that supersede the powers of Congress. Anyone who doesn't see this is brain dead.

I predict that there will be a catastrophe on US soil this year and we will get to see first hand why putting so much power in the hands of one man is a dangerous mistake.

It means : as Gw is an idiot and Cheney is the puppetmaster, putting so much power in the hands of one man (Bush) is a dangerous mistake. I hope your confusion is over

Now, I'm confused. Isn't that what Bush has been doing all along. Everything he's done has been without congressional approval or oversight.

Don't be confused Janet. He has been doing it all along. These new laws passed by Him and our inept Congress have paved the way so he can continue doing his thing, but now it will be legal.

This is what Hillary Clinton is trying to explain when everyone keeps bringing up her vote to allow the inspectors to go into Iraq. People don't seem to get it because of the media and their fail to explain that many Democrats, including Henry Waxman who is very critical of the Bush administration, voted "yes" because Bush lied and nobody expected him to misuse that power.

Let's say you were sick and you gave power of attorney to someone to decide on your medical tratment if you became too ill to make choices and to handle your finances. You listen to him and have confidence that he will do the right thing....until he pulls the plug.

I think I need to download a spellchecker. My brain sees one thing and my fingers see another. LOL

If McCain doesn't get nominated, I think Bush will do everything he can to keep us in Iraq indefinitely. Even peaceful protesting has become more dangerous because of the Patriot Act.

Oops - now I used the wrong word. I mean "elected" not nominated.

JX. When does Henry Waxman have anytime to be critical of anything, when he is so concerned about the abcess on Rodger Clemens' arse?    Bush didn't lie, you still keep forgetting that everyone thought they had WMFD everybody, everybody, everybody, the inspectors the british, the japanese the Israelis, the iranians, saddam. That is a fact everybody, everybody everybody, Kerry, Kennedy, 532 Conressmen and women, everybody, everybody, hindsight is 20/20, and Henry Waxman likes the hindsight, it looked like he was drooling while they were refering to Clemens arse.

Henry Waxman is a petty, pathetic, little worm. And when he and his cronies are gone America will be a better place.

from directive 51:
(b) "Catastrophic Emergency" means any incident, regardless of location, that results in extraordinary levels of mass casualties, damage, or disruption severely affecting the U.S. population, infrastructure, environment, economy, or government functions;

(which is vague enough to mean anything ... anywhere)

How did I miss this opening?

You said: "I predict that there will be a catastrophe on US soil this year."

Are you trying to say that Hillary Clinton will be elected? ;-D
