I'm very sory to hear that. Just PLEASE do not spend a lot on the lottery if you are in financial trouble. Even the lottery itself says that you should never spend money on the lottery that would normally go toward your rent or food, or some other necessity. You should only play using money you can afford to lose, because the chance of losing are greater than the chances of winning.

If you need money quickly, find something of value in your house and head for eBay. I'm NOT kidding. You don't even need a seller's account. There are places in most cities and towns now that will sell your item on eBay for you, but they charge you a small commission for that service. Look for remailers like Mail Boxes Etc. or Goin' Postal, and find one with an "eBay" sign on the door (I think UPS offers it, too, but I wouldn't swear to it).
   It's worth the money because, like I said, you don't have to set up a seller's account. They'll take the picture, post the description and photo and they'll notify you once your item has sold. Then, all you have to do is go and pick up your money and drop your item off for shipping.
   I wouldn't recommend doing this if I didn't know it would work. A friend of mine had to come up with $2,000 FAST to avoid foreclosure. I told him about this and, a week later, he had his money, and then some. His two-year-old golf clubs sold for more than he had paid for them (the winning bidder really just wanted the custom bag), and he unloaded some crap in his house that he didn't want anyway, or no longer used. After paying commissions and shipping charges, he had nearly $2,400 in his pocket. He paid up his mortgage and used the other three hundred and change to - you guessed it - set up a seller's account on eBay. I haven't seen him in a couple of weeks, but I'll have to remember to call him and ask how it's going.

If you need money bad, I recommend that you stay away from the lottery for the time being, probably you need to find a part time job and when you have already paid all of your monthly or weekly bills put 10% of your earnings or what ever you could afford in church and see how god will work for you. You probably will get better results than playing the lottery. If you don't be careful playing the lotto can probably cause you hit rock bottom. In your spare time you can probably try to find strategys on winning the lotto with out playing and when you feel confident enough and you have extra cash then play. Stick with the 3 and 4 ball because they are easier to win.

How about day labor? I know, the first time I was here in Florida I did it for one day and only because it was the last resort. It pays 50 bucks cash. You will have to let go of the ego for just a couple of days. That's a 100 bucks right there.

Look for day labor in the local paper. It is demeaning, but it helps until you get back on your feet, and I know you will. Never give up. Just remember that the universe can only mend itself and it's occupants, only if the occupants, the observers, do something to help their bros and sisters.

Wow...it's amazing to see all the WONDERFUL advice that Todd, Jim, Pac, and Optimistic gave and you are still looking for that winning number. It makes me wonder if there truly is a need. As Pac stated temp agencies are ALWAYS looking for help, and if I had 4 children and was raising them by myself, I would do whatever I can humanly do to provide for them...even working for temp agency, selling on eBay, contacting local churches, United Way, Salvation Army, and Catholic Charities. These agencies are there to assist the community when one is in need, so why not seek help with them rather than looking for a winning number. As Todd stated the odds are stake against you when it comes to actually winning, so why on earth use money that can go towards keeping a roof over your children head, if that truly is the case. The lottery is NOT a quick fix to all your financial problems, however those agencies listed above are!

Jim695 is correct about selling stuff on ebay. Craigslist.org which is owned partially by ebay allows people to list items for free, no commission so try them.
