USA For Africa - We Are The World

Wow - it was so refreshing to see all these people at one time again.


Some I don't even know who they were.


A few are no longer with us.


This is a far cry to what the world is singing about today.


I can see this happening again for a cause.  The spirit of giving.

OMG! Thanks Tenaj for this great blast from the past! It brought tears to my eyes and made me yearn for the all that great 80's musical talent again! Lionel Richie,Stevie Wonder,Paul Simon,Kenny Rogers,Billy Joel, Tina Turner,Diana Ross,James Ingram,Kim Carnes,Willie Nelson,Cyndi Lauper,Darryl Hall,Steve Perry,Al Jarroux,Dionne Warwick,Bruce Springsteen,Kenny Loggins,Hughie Lewis,and of course,the Great Gloved One, Michael! Also spotted, Latoya Jackson,one other Jackson brother and John Oates from Hall and Oates. Funny how I forgot this song after hearing it constantly on the radio. THUMBS UP!

I remember this. Just a note.... I could have sworn Kenny Loggins died because his picture was shown at the Grammys during their remembrance song to artists that past. Maybe it was someone who looks like him. Can anyone verify this? Can't find anything on the net.

Speaking of Al Jarreau...he's still great. I saw him on American Idol.   This year they're going to have another fundraiser. No matter what anyone thinks of the show (which can be really bad) it raised so much money. These are the charities.   http://www.americanidol.com/idolgivesback/where/
So people are still giving, even when our government keeps taking our hope away.

That peach brandy you drink might be the culprit...lol

After my 7th Heineken, I sometimes think I'm seeing Buddah when I open my dresser drawer. But then I realize it was only puff the magic dragon.

I wouldn't light up anything after a 7th bottle of brew. Of course, I can't get through one. Haven't had peach brandy in a while. Last thing I tried was Grand Marnier. Friendly Frankies has nips for 99 cts. One of those gives me a buzz for a couple of nights.

Seriously, back to the subject here...it was nice to see all these stars together and some are still performing for good causes. Cyndi Lauper is one who comes to mind. As much as people hate Michael Jackson, he's done a great deal of good in his life. I've always wondered if he's innocent and just guilty of being very, very weird. (Sorry Tenaj - don't want to take your blog to another place.)
