NEWS THAT HAD ME THINKING: HUGE TRADING ON TV: Well the thought cross my mind "Once", specially when i saw pictures of people in their couch watching tv but it was a very long time ago...I saw this story that i'll like for you all to read, it couldn't have been posted more perfectly: http://us.i1.yimg.com/videogames.yahoo.com/feature/wow-inc-/1203104

And it had me thinking: Read the Part where it says:

"If you're part of the ever-shrinking majority who's never taken a step in Warcraft's world, you probably aren't prepared for the richness of the ebb and flow of supply and demand that's taking place every day in Azeroth. On each of the game's many servers, a system of auction houses lets between 15 and 30 thousand players trade goods they've acquired from killing monsters or manufactured from raw ingredients harvested from the world, all for the game's glibly-named currency, "gold."

If you read the article it will tell you that TRADE/COMMERCE goes on in that game....Read also the part that says:

"You may not be able to buy shares in your Warcraft server, but you can certainly invest in its future."

And it had me thinking:

What if there was something like a game but something serious that was for real that everyone will have in their houses and could connect to by just bying the software in their local Walmart for 30 dollars...LOL...And they will be able to play and/or BET or "TRADE" trade like they do in Wall Street and the money is automatically deposited/collected in/from your bank account? LOL...What if...Specially "TRADING", because betting will follow...But i am talking trading been easier than what they do in wallstreet or something different at least not been bureaucratic like the way WallStreet is....But something that you connect to worldwide, not something you connect in your district, i am talking something like the World Wide Web that anyone can connect to, same thing here but through the TV....Well that's where the future is....It may not be in the next 40 years, but watch and see...

I clicked on your blue hyperlinked and got a warning, Pumpi. It said something like I was phished and someone might be trying to steal my password and this

"You have reached a link that is no longer in service. That means the link was very naughty, and, much like head lice, had to be eliminated before it spread."

Anyway, not sure what you are suggesting. I can get on my computer and trade a stock in about 30 seconds. You don't need to go to Wallstreet or buy special software. You can just register at a site like Scottrade, TDAmeritrade, or Fidelity online. Is this what you're talking about? Most of the major brokerage houses have online trading. E*trade has been around for as long as I can remember. It can be very risky if you don't know what you're doing. It's not a game.

Um... trade in currencies = FOREX, trade in commodities = COMEX, trade in stocks = NASDAQ, et. al., trade in everything from trinkets to cars = ebay, et. al. + post office, internet through your television = WebTV. Do all of those things at once, from home = 2008. What year is it down there?

The link is not naughty, the link talks about the World of WArcraft video game...What happened is that i copied it and pasted in myspace and somehow myspace has restriction of foreign links...The best thing to do is copy the link with your mouse and open up a different browser and paste it in the Link bar...That way it will take you there....
I heard about webTV a decade ago, but i haven't heard from it again, i don't know what became of the technology...My guess is that wEbtv is been bought for very small kids or on very poor foreign countries that can't afford a computer...I don't know if is a tv that you buy, a box or a connection for webTV...
