Invention: The Portable Digital Book..The future of books...

I got this idea...I was looking at the discovery channel and i saw that they say that millions or if not hundreds of millions of trees are cut everday to make books...And you know i thought, why don't they make Digital books..First i'll like for you all to look at this page:

http://www.themagictouch.co.uk/clocks/digiclock.htm

That's a digital clock...Check the thin digital screen part in the bottom that says: "Mat @ tak"...

Well i thought why not create something like that thin digital screen but bigger the size of a computer screen where you insert a chip (which is the book) and you get to read the digital words of the book and then it can have a button to present the other digital page (basically to go to the other page)...I call this the digital book...YOu can carry this thin digital screen anywhere with you...This thin digital screen can carry a very thin battery...So that whenever you go to the bookstore all you see is books/ front page but inside they are empty, inside they will contain the chip, that you will buy and plug it in, your thin digital screen and begin to read the book....

But the problem is the chips, the chips i don't know how much they are going to cost if they are going to be affordable...But if i have to pay 10 dollars for a book and not the usual 6.99 for the paper back, then so be it, i'll be happy to do it, to save trees...Plus i believe this is the future of book reading...This is the future...

YOu know something else that you can work is with this:

http://blackberryblog.com/images/blackberry_ui_large.gif

basically a "Blackberry"...But it will be better if they can fit/display on the screen, 1 paperback book page (the ones that cost 6.99)....This will be soo cool...

if we could get something like the blackberry but but that will be thinner and will have 2 or 3 buttons only...The "Next" page button, or the "Light" button to see, and the "Up-down page" button, and the "download/insert/extract button" we don't need all those buttons...And all you do is go to a bookstore and buy the chip which is the book and insert it...LOL...I don't think they have this yet in the world...They don't have a "Digital Book"....And you know something...You will be doing a favor to the environment, you will be saving a hundreds of millions if not billions of trees a year...

Believe it or not, this "DIGITAL BOOK" is the future, is the future of reading, is what we are going to be using 300 years from now, i mean we better...

because of you know the lungs of the world, the forests, are slowly disappearing...

What do you all think....

Um, digital books have been around a long time. This would have been a good idea about 20 years ago, but today they are commonplace.

The Amazon.com Kindle is very popular right now, so I guess "the future" is now.

Well at least i tried...But i was looking in google for it and i found this page:

http://www.techgadgets.in/displays/2007/03/sony-prs-505-digital-book-reader-announced-in-us/

Well it is not quite what i was talking plus, even though is a good idea, but is too expensive..but i was talking more of going to the bookstore and getting your book "CHIP" for 10 dollars and plugging it on the blackberry book case or thing film screen kind of like a video game...
They are not common place because if you go to a bookstore you are not going to find your particular book's chip..And if this people are call themselves smart, they will not sell the digital book case for 300 dollars...To make regular page books absolete you need to sell the portable digital book case cost 20 dollars, again if you want to make page books absolete and prevent billions of trees from been cut....

i also found this which i think is cool and is also similar to what i was talking about: (even though i disdain the word "geek" or any mention of it...
http://www.geekologie.com/2006/06/turnover_ereader_simulates_a_b.php

but they still need to work on it, there are some digital books that sell for 350 dollars...350 dollars!! And then you want to compete with page books...LOL..They also need to work on it to try and make the material the lightest possible..
And i wasn't talking about inserting a disk there i was talking about inserting a small chip, kind of like some chips that some photo printers use...They need to weigh a paperback with a portable digital book and see which one weighs less and if the portable digital book weighs more work on it....

and i know it can cost less because i've seen small translators which are heavier cost around 10 bucks the same thing with calculators, i've seen some calculators cost 6 bucks so i know they can make the case of this portable digital books to cost 20 bucks....
