30 Year Old Police Officer Gunned Down By Career Criminal

After being charged with 20 felonies and 2 misdemeanors since 1991, Abel Arrango of Naples, FL gunned down a 30 year old father of 3 young children.  Arrango, who left Cuba and entered the United States through Miami, was granted refugee status.  Like so many other pieces of human garbage who turned Miami into a war zone, he headed across the state to our peaceful community.  According to the 11:00 news this evening, local authorities report that every time they tried to send him back to Cuba, the Federal government released him.  Apparently Cuba said "We don't want him back."

So this violent piece of dirt was put back on the streets to endanger the public because nobody knew what to do with him?

What?

Here is an article on some of this career criminal's offenses.

Andrew Widman, the young man Arrango murdered, was a police officer called to the scene when a dispute broke out between Arrango and his girlfriend at a Fort Myers bar.  When the officer tried to break up the fight, Arrango pulled out a gun and shot him in the face.

After earning his Masters in Theology, Officer Widman became a minister and served as a missionary with his wife, Susanna.  Here is a photo of them with their newborn son before they went to Thailand to carry on their missionary work.

Officer Widman joined the police force last year.  I didn't know him or his family, but this is a terrible tragedy and a shock to all of us in Southwest Florida.

I wasn't prepared to write anything tonight, but I'm just so enraged that someone with so many felonies was walking freely on our streets.  There isn't any safe place to live any more.

I don't understand why after he was supposed to be deported, he was released. Here is a list of some of his arrests I just copied:

o Armed Robbery
o Carrying a Concealed Weapon
o Cocaine Possession
o Cocaine Sale
o Cocaine Trafficking
o Grand Theft
o Burglary
o Possession of Weapon
o Battery - Domestic Violence
o Criminal Mischief

Also... "WINK News has also learned that Arango is a documented gang member by the Collier County Sheriff's Office."

This isn't just an immigrant problem. There are a lot of criminals born in the USA who are roaming the streets after multiple arrests. Just a few days ago a man terrorized a Cape Coral couple in their home at gunpoint and is suspected of a spree of robberies. He has a very long criminal record including drug charges. Why does the newspaper article say "he has a lengthy criminal record" and he's not incarcerated? If there's no longer any room in prison for people who can't function in society without robbing or killing, then maybe the death penalty is the only solution.

To our Cuban members: This blog entry and my comments have absolutely nothing to do with good, hard-working people who live here legally and peacefully. I only said he came from Cuba to Miami to point out that after being ordered for deportation he was released and slipped back into society. Garbage is garbage. Black, White, Asian, Hispanic... doesn't matter. It all stinks.

Then people ask retarded questions like: Oh why is the Bible important, or why "Christianity" is important...

@ pumpi
Christianity has NOTHING to do with it!   Religion has NOTHING to do with it.
Simple rational reasoning keeps everyone civilized.

Pumpi, I posted 3 links. There are at least 2 pictures of the killer.   Here's another one.

This article says US Immigration did all they could to deport this man. So what? Why wasn't he just kept in prison? He was a repeat offender, a gang member & a drug dealer. If Cuba didn't want him, then just take him out on a boat, tie his legs together and drop him in the Atlantic. Sharks need to eat too.

TrueCritic, I agree.

Side note: It's sad that a reporter makes so many blatant errors. I mean, it's entirely different when we post on a board. However, a news article should not have "thier" when it is spelled "their" and its instead of it's for it is.   I guess today it's more important to report the news before the other guy than pay attention to spelling & grammar.

Death penalty, no waiting period, and this $h1+ ends. Gangs should be dealt with in similar fashion no tolerance, there are gangs around here that like hacking hands off.

I read the link and the cops killed the piece of dirt, excellent.

Yes, Jarasan. He said if he was going to go out he wanted to do it "Miami Style."   Sick. It was a shootout right on the streets of Fort Myers, from what I understand.

Agree with Jarasan. Am a proponent of the death penalty ... our legal system provides for due process and then some before it's administered. With evolving dna tests the margin of error is greatly diminished.

Many years ago the Red Dog Squad of the Atlanta Police Department would stake out convenience stores which were regularly robbed. Armed robber come in the store, robber got blown away, end of story. Then someone stirred the stink about the perp's rights being violated and it stopped. Latest national roundup of career criminals, fugitives, most wanted ...... greatest percentage were in the Atlanta area. Go figure!
