Cop: I Really Don't Care About Your Dog
Published:
Some people really do love their dogs too much. More than people.
Do you think these cops were being insensitive?
Comments
He may have been too involved in the dog to be going 100mph - whether there is legal basis or not, I do think people should be able to exceed the limit in an emergency - perhaps not quite that fast. I don't think speeding is reserved only for cops to do and not get a ticket.
Yeah, the cop was insensitive. He could have moved his butt like he was alive instead of crawling through the motions. He could have offered to escort or take the dog to the vet. Personally, I think he was a jerk. It was nice he didn't charge the guy with a felony. It would be nice to see what the Judge says when the guy shows up for his ticket.
He could have escorted the people in the car or let the other person drive to the vet to save their pet.
I do agree that these people shouldn't have been violating the speed limit, but there was no reason for the cop's callousness.
A woman was speeding to get to the Lee Memorial Hospital after getting a call that her father had a heart attack. A cop stopped her and treated her the same way. She begged him to let her go or just follow her to the hospital so she could be with her Dad in case he died. Wish I could find that video.
Some people need to be humbled into reality. When reality hits home, folks react differently.
The cop was a total A hole.
