Awesome choice! Congratulations on a great pick!

Now let's sit back, wait, and watch the other party try to rip this WOMAN apart.

Just read her bio on Wiki, she's awesome!!!! They can rip all they want but doesn't look like it's gonna work.

They've already started in on her she was the mayor of a town of 9000 people, she has no experience.

Well guess what, she has more than Barry!

Here are Barry's accomplishments:

Whoops forgot! There are none.

Is it too early to start calling her 'Vice President MILF'? ;-)

Jarasan, that's not true.   Still, it's an odd choice. A former Miss Alaska contestant? I know this is your blog, but at least post accurate figures. You raised the pop by 50%!   Town was only 6,000 people.

Shame on you, time*treat! Well, since everyone joked about Hillary Clinton's pantsuits, it's only fair to mention that thing on top of her head. (we used to call it a beehive 40 years ago)
But what a woman looks like or the clothing she wears has nothing to do with her ability to run the country. At least with Biden I'd know a very experienced senator with over 30 years experience is next in line. McCain is in his 70s. If his health fails, do you want a woman who has been governor for less than 2 years to step into his shoes? I think it was a bad move. He obviously wanted someone with more conservative views than he, since many Republicans have accused him of being too liberal.   I was on the fence and thinking about voting for McCain, but I doubt if I will do it now. Palin supports aerial shooting of wolves which involves pursuing packs of wolves with an airplane and then gunning them down when they become too exhausted to run any more. She also sanctioned the use of snowmobiles to "hunt" packs. This is cruel & unnecessary.

JX. I would rather have Governer Palin running this country over either one of the two opponents. Biden is a blow hard, plagerising, bigot and Barry can't speak in complete sentences.

Just as I said above they are already ripping her and JX you've joined in.

What is truly amazing is you would vote for Hillary.

Your comments about hunting down wolf packs is a perfect example.

The jig is up the Dems. have been called out and beat at their own game, bringing up some issue that no one here is qualified or informed on to comment about is ludricous.

Just think of the wolves in Alaska as the alligators of Florida that love the taste of fresh dog, cat or child.

I want to know why your girl Hillary wasn't chosen for Barry's VP, or why they chose good ol' boy Biden instead.

Jarasan, you are "assuming" too much. I am not "ripping" Governor Palin at all. I am already familiar with her policies because of my involvement with animal rights. Please don't insult me by comparing alligators with wolves. The reason for this slaughter is to assure hunters have enough moose and caribou to kill.   Wolves and coyotes aren't running into towns eating children. Now who is being ludicrous? (neither are alligators, but that wasn't my point)   BTW, just so you know - only when an alligator becomes an imminent threat is that creature captured and relocated if possible. Often an alligator becomes very dangerous because stupid humans feed it. Otherwise it has a natural fear of people and instinctually steers clear of us. One cannot be relocated after a certain age/size because it has a natural homing device or if it's been fed by people. In any case, we do not fly around in planes and shoot them. Again, just like the 9,000 people or posting other inaccurate info on your blog, you continue to write about things you know little about.

Biden is a retread. Period. Obama has no foreign policy experience but guess that's ok since the Dems say it is.

Understand Palin in an NRA member, hunts moose and eats moose burgers .... bet they're tasty. Have read a moose is just as dangerous as a bear. Wiki said she worked as a commercial fisherman alongside her husband, has always been a very active outdoors person running marathons. There's way more to her than a pretty face.

Excuse my redundancy in my writing. I didn't proof my comment.   I won't post any more here, since we disagree so much, but I would appreciate it if you didn't request that my post be removed as in the past. Then opinion & freedom of speech becomes propaganda.

The same things that the Rep party ripped on Obama about, McCain has chosen a mate that is less experienced than Obama. It seems as though the party pulled a desparate move. The issues that you are talking about are not national "topics" they are state level. The issues you need to look at are national issues, not state issues. McCain is 72 and has serious health issues, that means Palin would lead the country!!! Stop voting for the party and vote for the person that would bring about change. The Republican party hasn't done ANYTHING for and your family!!! The country is run by more than just the president. Don't forget about congress and the senate!!!

Well, listening to Mark Levin tonight he said they would attack her for her lack of experience. He was right. Who said Obama has any experience. At least she has run a state. He's nothing but a junior senator.

JX you are a definitely an Alpha female, but it is 9000 people today, not 6000 (this number 6000 is from the 2000 census) not a whole lot of aborting going on up there. The pop. of Alaska is about 685K (2007). Have you ever seen a wolf pack take down a moose or elk?   They like the younger individuals of the herds they are easier to kill and are deliciously tender (to the wolves that is).

Have you heard about the blonde down by swamp with a shot gun trying to shoot the alligator for its shoes, luggage, and purse? That wasn't you, was it?

I believe in free speech, I have never requested your posts be removed, others may have, but not me.

@jme0823: Brilliant, did you figure that out all by yourself?

@rcbbuckeye: I've met Mark he is awesome, he worked for the gipper, he is brilliant.

Mark levine? What a joke. How can you ever take anyone seriously when they sound like they inhaled nitrous oxide right before they started speaking.

@jarasan & rcbuckeye:

Agreed on Mark Levin, quite a brilliant mind he has. I met Mark at a book signing (for his absolutely brilliant book, "Men in Black"). He was wearing a hat that said, "Clinton Happens".

Mark Levin is so quick thinking! The guys' memory is massive with instantaneous recall! I would not want to debate him on anything..... his logic, reason, and the conviction of his points of view in addition to his factual knowledge of history, law, precedent etc. to say the least is incredible.

I think I would want him as my advocate in any court of law.

You are right about the population. I said I would not post again, but I had to sign on to apologize for that mistake. Anyway, even if I loved everything this woman stands for (which I don't) she isn't even educated enough to teach high school. (many require a Master's Degree) She's probably an awesome & amazing woman. But this is for VP of the United States! Doesn't anyone get that?

Jux...I feel exactly like you do. If McCain kicks the bucket, this woman will be our leader...I'm not too happy about that fact!!! In fact, it really seems like folks aren't even rationally looking at that point!!!

I promised I wouldn't talk about politics anymore on this blog because if you say anything negative about the Republicans, you will be deleted!!! However, I just had to stand on your side Jux!!! Let's not just have a woman for the sake of womanhood...my goodness, this lady might be our President one day!!! I'm not too happy with that thought!!

Experience is an overblown qualification. Cheney was experienced...does that make him a good vice president?

The first stringers have been playing abysmally. Maybe it's time to give the rookies a shot...they can't do any worse.

@GS Negativity and lying are two different things.

@all: If education is the next talking point, then Abraham Lincoln should have been a failure as president.   You see Abe (a republican) had less than two years of formal education! So if McCain kicks the bucket and we have a college educated president we are good to go.

Let's see George Washington was educated at home.................

The job of POTUS is a hard job but there are many advisors checks and balances.

Which brings me to Nancy Pelosi two heart beats away from the presidency, that is really scary, not because of her education, but of her record, the lack of knowledge exhibited by this libdem speaker over the past couple of years is evidence enough for immediate impeachment hearing if such a thing were to ever happen. God forbid. Let us kneel and pray this never happens! Hear our prayer, keep our great President Bush and Vice President Cheney safe and healthy.

She has an education with common sense. Thats a high rating for me.
Too many overly educated people up there now "with out common sense".

NEGATIVITY is the name given in philosophy to the negative element determinative or definitive of things and all ideas of things, whereby a thing is this because it is not that, and is seen to be this because it is seen not to be that, an antagonism essential to all forms of being, spiritual as well as material, and to all definite and distinct thought.

A LIE (also called prevarication) is a type of deception in the form of an untruthful statement, especially with the intention to deceive others, often with the further intention to maintain a secret or reputation, protect someone's feelings or to avoid a punishment. To lie is to state something that is false with the intention that it be taken for the truth by oneself or someone else. A liar is a person who is lying, who has previously lied, or who tends by nature to lie repeatedly.

LYING is typically used to refer to deceptions in oral or written communication. Other forms of deception, such as disguises or forgeries, are generally not considered lies, though the underlying intent may be the same; however, even a true statement can be considered a lie if the person making that statement is doing so to deceive. In this situation, it is the intent of being untruthful rather than the truthfulness of the statement itself that is considered.

The type of lies posted on this site about President Bush are fabricated, bald-faced, omissive and the misleading types of lies.

Negativity and lying are two different things.
