More "SHOCK & AWE" 4ya

Last Edited: September 26, 2008, 12:07 pm

Here's more SHOCK & AWE for ya - Did you know that the House just approved a $630 BILLION spending bill to run the gov through the spring. Let's see...this includes a $25 BILLION loan to the automakers & also a record setting $488 BILLION for Defense.

Oh BTW, it's loaded with about 2,500 "pet porkers"! Seems to me that they would've cut the PORK out of their diets while they're looking for us to be the guinea pigs in this bailout plan!

Check this out: 700 BILLION in "C-Notes" weighs about 15 MILLION pounds. And laid end to end in "Singles" would reach around 70 MILLION MILES - Long enough to reach our neighbor ---- MARS!!

FYI, the $700B figure comes from the same brainiacs that guesstimated that the total damage caused by sub-prime would total a staggering 50-100 BILLION. (OH, IS THAT ALL? I think they were off by "just a hair"!)

Let's attempt to get a running total of all this liquidity:

 700B - Hank/Bush/Wall St Bailout

   29B - Bear Stearns (It's contained!)

85B - AIG (where the guy's just sitting 'round thinking about butterflies!)

200B - for the step children Fannie & Freddie

 150B - for SLIM-ulus checks and let's not forget...

 438B - a projected DEFICIT in the Fed's "BUDGET" for '08.

$1,602 BILLION or 1.6 TRILLION!  Didn't they just raise the national debt ceiling a few weeks ago, again? This time it'll have to be adjusted to $11.3 TRILLION, give or take a few bucks!  Talk about INFLATION!!

Look at it like this - the national debt will be over 70% GDP. H*ll, the national debt "only" reached 44% of GDP during the *GDY.

Thanks colthmn. Yes, I'm tuff -- but I'm fair! I try to keep up with these things. I was just telling someone today that I used to watch a *TV program I guess about 20+ years ago that told of these events to come.

I didn't believe back then that it could happen to our great nation but as the years went by I could see where we were slipping. We forgot as a nation & world leader how we became great.

You cannot just tear down our factories and ship our jobs overseas and in their place start throwing up mega shopping malls thinking that a "consumer driven" economy will sustain us. That's bull crap!

We as a nation have no choice now - THE PIPER IS HERE! We must start almost from scratch and use our ingenuity to pull our selves up once more. WE CAN DO IT!! WE MUST DO IT!! We have a lot of problems in this country - so we have to begin bit-by-bit. First of all it takes common sense. One more thing is - we have to control our population. I know that's a touchy subject but I don't care.

THE U.S.A. IS JUST TO BIG TO FAIL!!!!!

And let's stop wasting everything. We're the MOST wasteful nation on earth. And the biggest debtor. How in the hell does that jibe? I try not to waste ANYTHING. It even pisses me off when I see some stupid a*s food eating contest when so many people in the world are starving! Hey! Let's stop the ethanol scam TODAY. I have MUCH more to complain about but I don't want to get into all that right now.

I have some ideas, some plans, even some inventions that I'm working on. And I'll do my part to put some people to work. It won't be tomorrow but fairly soon. It's going to take our government to realize that they would've been much better off to make the sub-prime loans to small businesses! I'm lucky -- I work for myself and the lotteries make up a big part of my income.

We have to get back to work. We have to learn to live within our means. It sounds easy but we have a generation that has NO clue. And THEY'RE having kids! Oh BTW .... the name of that TV program.................
