"Joe The Plumber: Obama Tax Plan 'Infuriates Me'

Last Edited: October 16, 2008, 10:32 am

Siezure through taxation so the money you earned can be given it to someone else.  Class warfare via wealth envy.

How to stop it in its tracks

Fair Tax

"Joe The Plumber: Obama Tax Plan 'Infuriates Me'

Source ABC News

"To be honest with you, that infuriates me," plumber Joe Wurzelbacher told Nightline's Terry Moran. "It's not right for someone to decide you made too much---that you've done too good and now we're going to take some of it back."

"That's just completely wrong," he added. ".............

        [         VIDEO        ]

.............."During his telephone interview with ABC News, the Ohio plumber argued that the government should not tax some Americans at a higher percentage than others and argued that this principle should extend not only to taxpayers at his income-level but also to the world's richest man.

"I don't like it," said Wurzelbacher. "You know, me or -- you know, Bill Gates, I don't care who you are. If you worked for it, if it was your idea, and you implemented it, it's not right for someone to decide you made too much."

I just went out in my vehicle and their was a talk host talking about comments that Jessie Jackson made about the muslim religion and Obama. It was not a good comment that Jessie made.
If I am correct on what I heard as I am slightly hearing impaired.

I'm going with Obama ,Joe is making big money and doesn't want to pay his share of taxes. Obama is giving 95% of middleclass working people tax cuts. My husband and I have already lost our 401k's due to Bush and AIG's 400,000 parties. Oh by the way my husband WAS suppose to retire in March but they partied our money away, with their 14.6 million dollars vacation house in Florida. Must be nice. I wouldn't know. kttrm

48% of Americans don't pay taxes in the first place .......... fact has been emphasized over and over. The numbers in Obama's class war Marxist tax plan don't work if you know the math. McCain failed to emphasize that fact.

"   John McCain didn't even point out the fact that it is impossible for Obama to cut taxes for 95% of working Americans because 48% of those people don't even pay income taxes in the first place! Don't you think a lot of Americans would have leaned forward in their chairs and said "What? Is that true?" McCain just wouldn't throw that punch. This is one of the most obvious, glaring misnomers of the Obama campaign, and John McCain could not relay that to the American people. You know, the problem may really be with his advisors. Maybe nobody took the time to fill in those blanks for him."

@kttrm, Not 95% of the working middle class! 95% of ALL people! Doesn't matter if you work or not or not even pay taxes. Just under 50% of ALL USAmerican people don't pay any Fed, State, or local taxes. That is a fact. What Barry wants to do is give more taxpayer's money away "to spread the wealth" and then call it tax cuts.

I find it hard to believe you lost your 401K's because of Bush and AIG. Most 401K's are comprised of several types of funds that usually lean more and more toward being least risky as you approach retirement. If what you say is true, it isn't Bush's or AIG's fault, it is the fault of your 401k plan's management team.

You've fallen for the class envy trap and the fallacy that they spent YOUR money. How much of the $400K was yours? How much of the $14.6M was yours? If you do the math, you know spread the wealth around, since everybody pays taxes one way or another it works out to, about $.04 dollars per USAmericans, or more simply 4 CENTS per USAmerican. It doesn't justify what those jerkys at AIG did, but please stop with this propagandist hyberbole.

Let me tell you something the 401k thing doesn't look good on paper. Whatever amout it is, its mine!! understand my point here? I'm not being a smarta**   Didn't do risky investments, buts it a 31 year 401k. I'm not as stupid to believe everything BAD that has happened is the republican's fault. However it was under Bush's admin. I guess I'm just cut from a different cloth, I don't take whats not mine. kttrm

Kittrm, you may not take what's not yours.

A vote for Obama will knowingly enable someone else to do it for you.

@kttrm: I guess what's frustrating for many conservatives is that liberals jump at every chance to blame Bush for everything bad that happens, saying that "they're in charge", but when there is a Democrat in the White House they are not so willing to do that. When Clinton was in the White House, it was all Newt Gingritch's fault for anything that went wrong.

How many liberals put blame on Nancy Pelosi? How many put blame on Tip O'Neil when Reagan was President? And "liberals" refers not just to citizens who hold a liberal viewpoint, but nearly the entirety of the mainstream media -- all TV broadcasts, most cable, most newspapers, most news magazines, and now a majority of Web sites.

The opposite can sometimes be true. Conservatives can put extra blme on a Democrat in the White House, but my opinion is that it does not happen nearly so much as when liberals do it.

Conservatives tend to be much more intellectual about things, and are more willing to put blame on themselves than liberals are. Do you think that's a biased thing to say? Maybe, but I don't think so.

Looks like Joe and his boss are going to be shutdown in the county they work in.

If the fascist union puts a quash on these peoples livelyhood they're making a big mistake.
konaneComment by konane - October 16, 2008, 9:12 pm
Are they licensed through or by the union, or is their license one that is issued by the city or municipality?
JAP69Comment by JAP69 - October 16, 2008, 9:59 pm
Plumbing license's are generaly issued by the state and some municipalities reguire a license.
In S.C. you get a state license for different trades and then you need a license for the area you work. Town , city , county. They are quite strict on licenses in S.C. now . When Hugo came thru their were a lot of fly by nights that came in and butchered a lot of work and for big money I might add.

I have done a lot of work in the Charleston area and most everything requires an architect , structual engineer. In some cases plans need to be presented to the board of archtectual review for historical preservation.
Then permits are required and all phases of construction are inspected by the town or city.
In some cases if a job runs under so many dollars an architect is not reguired but permits are. Siding redos , roofs, etc

The jerky media is all over JTPlumber's personal life, why in the hades don't they question any of Barry and Michelle's obfuscations of their past, if people can't see the partisanship by the media Barry's minions, they deserve what they get.

The media are going to regret it, they've been doing this forever to anyone who disagrees with them, it is a Goebbels tactic from back in the day, yeah, the media manipulates and uses propanganda just like they did in Germany back in the day!!!!!!!!! dems/socialist/communist/fascists, they are all cut of the same cloth, if you don't agree they tear you down, shut you up, or make you dissappear.

No mention of the pro McCain march where the nice people of upper west side where so tolerant of the McCain supporters, just think if those were Barry supporters and the angry people were McCain supporters!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Angry violent leftists are starting to pop up all over the place, they are so tough, funny isn't it? They are angry and violent towards their own country and fellow citizens, but when it comes to winning a war or conflict against an true enemy of the USA they want make nice, befriend, or accept defeat. Pathetic. Leftists disgust me.
konaneComment by konane - October 17, 2008, 9:15 am
Thanks Jarasan. Leftists smack of Bully Syndrome, threaten, verbally abuse, throw fits, destroy property .... but when it comes to real conflict or defense of themselves or country they are wussification in flashing neon.

No matter who we go with the Bush administration has completely ruined not only the country, but the world. It can't be fixed. These last days are only going to get worse. As long as Nancy Pelosi is in office it will be a rough road. What's happening is supposed to happen because we are not in charge! God is, and His will is being done. Anger and name calling is doing us no good. While we are complaining, we should just be praying. There is power in prayer and that's the only thing left to help us.
konaneComment by konane - October 17, 2008, 11:56 am
Wiltay agree with core of your statement. Holding an intended objective in mind with belief and faith changes things faster than any sort of fighting or bickering. Great post, thanks!
