"Joe the plumber derangement syndrome

....... "For the sin of causing Obama to talk candidly, Joe has come under fire. According to Michelle Malkin (link below)  lefty bloggers are excited by reports that Joe is related to a guy who is the son-in-law of Charles Keating and who served time in connection with Keating's role in the savings and loan scandal. Is the theory that Obama was entrapped into saying what he thought?

Meanwhile, the press is attempting to find dirt on Joe. So far it has discovered that he doesn't have a plumber's license (but he apparently doesn't need one because he's working for a licensed company) and that Joe owes less than $2,000 in taxes. That's more digging than the press did on Bill Ayers, Obama's political ally, and more than all but one reporter did on Rev. Wright, Obama's spiritual mentor, until the story broke quite belatedly. .........."

"L.A. Times: Joe the Plumber Has Liens!!!!1!!

"I think we can all agree that this is critical information.

Not because it says anything about Joe the Plumber, mind you. But it does serve a useful function: it warns any future citizen who might dare question Barack Obama that his life will be closely scrutinized for any irrelevant but embarrassing information.

So, you know. Critical in that sense.  "

The comment made about the press doing more digging on Joe the Plumber than they did for the American-hating Rev. Wright and Bill Ayers says it all.

Can you imagine hw awful it will become if Obama wins, and the media's outrageous bias toward a political candidate (and toward one political party) is thus endorsed by Americans?

All the people who are secretly (or openly) happy that the press is rooting for Obama to win, all I can say is that Karma has a funny way of coming around. Are you happy with a press that refuses to be objective on any issue? The founders did not create a "free press" to mean that it should be populated entirely with people who see things the same way. It is supposed to be critical of EVERY viewpoint!

Thanks Todd! Been almost longer than I can remember since an objective press existed ..... perhaps far back as mid 60's.

I just heard Rush's first 5 minutes on radio and he is making the same comments.
The press has dug up more stuff on Joe in a couple days than they have on the political candidates and their associates.
