"WASHINGTON (AP) - The presidential race tightened after the final debate, with John McCain gaining among whites and people earning less than $50,000, according to an Associated Press-GfK poll that shows McCain and Barack Obama essentially running even among likely voters in the election homestretch.

The poll, which found Obama at 44 percent and McCain at 43 percent, supports what some Republicans and Democrats privately have said in recent days: that the race narrowed after the third debate as GOP-leaning voters drifted home to their party and McCain's "Joe the plumber" analogy struck a chord. ...."

That's why the AP has lost its credibility. Virtually every other poll and market trading venue has shown McCain losing ground since the last debate. AP stands alone in denying this.

As liberal as the AP is in their reports makes me wonder if they're publishing the wrong information hoping McCain-Palin will let up on their campaigning.

However, political polls like any poll or survey can be skewed in favor of the pollster/surveyor.

They take into account target demographics which are easily accessible in order to make any poll or survey reflect their desired outcome.

Valid reason why I place no credibility whatsoever in polls.
