Vote machine flips Oprah's vote!

Published:

Updated:

When Oprah Winfrey was voting the machine flipped her vote.  With her celebrity status and influence maybe attention will be drawn to this atrocious voting system, a direct result of the Fair Vote Act.

Never in the computer age has such a faulty "computer" passed quality control and been shipped in massive quantities...and the end user accepted it.  What if your computer acted like that?

Give me a "hanging chad" any day!

Here's the link.

This is obviously a timing problem. These machines are *NOT* supposed to flip the votes while people are still *standing* there. :-)

You're kidding right? It didn't flip her vote, she just didn't "touch the screen selection effectively". The computer voting machines do a review of your votes "cast" before you "verify and submit". And you can change any of your "choices" before final submission. Her vote was counted correctly.

Oprah just like John McCain probably doesn't know the difference btwn. a cursor and a system tray.

This is much ado about nothing.

I know someone who had a similar experience in West Virginia. One of the snowbirds who lives here for 6 months was home in WV to vote last week. Even after selecting Obama twice, the check next to the candidates name kept jumping to McCain.

Jarasan, I find it ironic to hear a McCain supporter use the "much ado about nothing" expression, since most his attacks against Obama are exactly that!

Amen, justxploring! How ironic of you, jarasan! Talk about mud slinging, "much ado about nothing" expressions, you're just about king of the hill around here, politically speaking!!
