My family and I thought his speech was beautiful. We even were teary-eyed. I am so glad to have had the chance to be a witness to history in the making.

Our next president!

All of Obama's speeches are beautiful. He will be remembered for giving them, it will be part of his legacy. I, too, am glad to see history making even if I did not vote for him. This is a big step for this country. Maybe the blacks of this country can begin their healing and see past those that hold them back (Jackson, Sharpton, Wright, etc).

Yes, his speech was truley AWESOME! He is our new president (hellelujah)! Gracious, articulate, full of humility.....we all love him and wish him well with all the greatest of success! My 24 yo daughter cried out in big hysterical tears of joy when they had announced that her age-group helped the most to put him in. Our family were jumping for joy tonite. Like you, we are sooo blessed to be a witness to this great monment in history

I am so proud of you guys for making history in the USA--Last night I just burst into tears when CNN said that Obama is the President elect for the USA--I mean his road was not an easy one and he still had patience and courage to stick it out--Sometimes it was so unbearable to watch how some persons' treated him and his family especially the fox media--But through the perversance and prayers to God be the glory for great things he has done--Now we all have to pray for him and his family safety. God bless Barack and the USA.

time*treat - exactly people like Obama, Condi Rice, Colin Powell - no one held them back.

As Obama said last night, he is all of our President. In elections you win some, you lose some. If this wasn't a win for conservatives, I would like to think it is a win for the USA.

mazie789 - if questioning a candidate where no other news media would ask the hard questions is unbearable to watch, then I feel for you. We still have unanswered questions about our new President-elect, but I am sure we will learn much about him over the next 4 years.

God Bless the USA - and thank God that we have civil elections and changes of power. Congratulations to all of us!
