How can you answer me?

Published:

Have you ever had a conversation with someone and when you started to say something, they jumped in - cut you off and answered you before you finished saying what you had to say? My question is - how can you answer me when you didn't hear what I had to say?

Some people need to learn listening skills.  If you are thinking about what you are going to say when someone is talking - you are not listening.

You know what makes a good conversation - listening.

Tenaj, I like that. Please keep posting things that make you think.   I see that you put a lot of thought into what you have to say. " Please don't get mad and take your toys and go home because we can't agree on how to play the game." Do you feel me?

I feel you chow chow. Listening requires that you be still, and having an agenda of your own prevents that. If you want to prove a point, get your way, or change someone's mind, "compromise" moves farther and farther away. And "understanding" doesn't stand a chance.
