Man Spends $11 to Steal $9

Muoi Van Nguyen, 31, was arrested in Spokane Valley, Wash., in November, charged with breaking a window with a hammer at a state liquor store and grabbing a bottle of wine valued at $9.

Earlier, Van Nguyen had tried unsuccessfully to break the window with a rock but decided he needed a hammer to do the job and went to a nearby store, where he purchased one for $11.

If he still has the hammer, he can steal another bottle of wine to cover its cost. :-)

If someone has a drinking problem, I doubt if he would bother to stop & do the math. Apparently the liquor store was closed and this guy needed some booze in a hurry and grabbed whatever was convenient.

Not too smart, but it does prove he's qualified for public office.
