This was one of my favorite songs back in the day. I love these images.

It's inspirational too. I wish I could have some of the images (drawings) with the arms raised in the air.

I love singing the gospel. Sometimes people ask what a Jewish woman from MA is doing in a charasmatic church and I tell 'em "it's the only place besides my shower that I can belt out a song without being told to shut up!" LOL

We might not worship the same way or use the same names, but it's so important to have faith, surrender & let go of oneself. Please don't laugh at me, but I was watching TLC the other night and there was a program about conjoined twins on their 16th birthday. They go to high school & are applying for a license to drive. It was sad but also inspiring & fascinating to watch. Seeing what looks like a freak with 2 heads, but really is 2 individuals with thoughts & feelings like the rest of us, I told myself "Your life isn't all that bad, is it?" The next day I still was still back to being my miserable self, so I'm not perfect... but I'm working on it! :-)

Shalom

I love praise and worship music. I want to go to a Jewish wedding or bar mitzvah.

There really isn't singing at Jewish services, at least in my experience. The Rabbi or Cantor will chant a prayer or sing from the Bible. Of course, at a wedding or bar mitzvah, the people are joyous and will sing & dance at the reception. There is singing & clapping at some services, like at a Passover Seder.

Have you ever heard of Ofra Haza? She's no longer with us, but she sang beautifully. Here she is singing Kaddish which is the prayer for the dead. This really isn't Kaddish, but it's still very pretty. Sad also. Kaddish (which means holy in Aramaic) is a prayer glorifying God.   She is singing for all the victims of the world.
