Rick, has MythBusters done that show yet?

A "bomb" does not necessairly have to be small, round, with a fuse attached. A 747 fully fueled qualifies as a bomb just as well as a pipe packed with gunpowder.

Have been told by an engineer that concrete will burn if it's gotten hot enough. It most certainly will fracture. Believe jet fuel which is like a highly refined kerosene could do just that.

Jet fuel cannot burn high enough to melt steel. However, the towers could have collapsed if some of the structural support melted.

That said, a lot of people believe in spontaneous human combustion!

It would seem obvious that vertical steel holding up the building once heated up will twist and bow with heat applied.
Once that happens the total vertical strength is lost resulting in a collapse.

or the steel beams could have been cut prior to the planes hitting making them fall like a pancake.

Most Americans have never seen tall buildings that have collapsed due to structural problems or earthquakes (photos of both types are plentiful on the web). They lean and fall to the side; never straight down. For the WTC, one would have to believe 47 columns of structural steel failed simultaneously, in perfect symmetry, and somehow met no resistance from the intact lower floors, on the way down. The nice little graphic played for the masses, in the aftermath, omitted those columns. Oh, and building 7 got depressed and committed suicide. Again, in perfect symmetry and at freefall speed. You don't have to know exactly what happened to know you've been lied to.

As justx said, jet fuel doesn't burn hot enough to melt steel. The towers were designed to withstand jetliner impact. Analysis of dust from various locations around the debris indicate the presence of thermite, a substance used by demolition companies to cut steel because of its high burning temp. After the collapse and for days afterward there were pools of molten steel. Remember the news reports and pictures of smoke coming off the debris pile for weeks? Even if jet fuel melted the steel (which it can't by about 600 degrees) the steel would have started cooling immediately. It would not remain in a red hot liquid state, pooled and glowing for days. The fire had to be augmented with something that burns very hot.

The evidence strongly indicates a professional demolition. The company to be looking at is CDI (Controlled Demolitions, Inc.). You may remember they were tasked with the cleanup. They were also working in the towers for three weeks prior to the collapse. This company also got the contract for cleaning up the OK City bombing. They were also working in that building in the weeks leading up to that bombing, supposedly doing "cabling" work. Starting to see a pattern?

More info and evidence of demolition can be found at

http://www.ae911truth.org/

This is a site of architects and engineers who believe the buildings were demolished and that further investigation is warranted.

More on CDI later.
