"Greed" by Milton Freidman

Here you have the teacher and the students.   Milton Friedman is speaking self evident historical truths and there you have Phil Donohue deer in the headlights stare thinking so hard trying to retort but fails miserably.   Phil Donohue's reaction is very relevant to the situation we are in today.  Phil is like so many today, who no matter what empirical evidence is presented to them,  they refuse to believe they could be wrong even if their argument has no basis. A perfect example is the Tim Geitner appointment,  only this guy could be Treasury Secretary,  everybody knew this guy was a tax cheat, idiot, whatever,  they all went along.   Every time this has happened I am reminded of the fable of the King's new clothes.

Enjoy. It is only 2:24 minutes.

Oh Yeah, Retail sales up %1, and home foreclosures down 10%, catastrophe is just around the bend.

If Donahue were living in abject poverty instead of wealth, wonder if his perspective would be the same???? Doubtful. It's always socialists who want to dip into someone else's wealth creation and doll it out so THEY can get their high. Maybe should be re-categorized as an addiction .... the more I think of that the more it makes sense. Addiction so THEY get the warm fuzzies via their altruistic actions via someone else's private property.

Even after an explanation as clear as Friedman's, you still have people who listen to those shysters pretending to want to save the world (on someone else's quarter, minus a small handling fee, of course).
